How to compare recycling machine quotes
Compare what each price includes: machines, accessories, testing, shipping and support.
Compare machines for the same material
Send the same material brief and production assumptions to each supplier. Ask each proposal to identify the accepted input, required preparation, configuration and basis for any performance figure.
Keep differences visible. A lower price for a smaller scope is not the same comparison as a lower price for the same agreed scope.
Separate included, optional and excluded
Use three columns for main equipment, feeders, conveyors, separation stages, tooling, controls, collection, spare parts and documentation. Mark each line clearly instead of relying on a general phrase such as complete machine.
Ask how interfaces are handled when equipment comes from more than one source. Record who supplies and confirms the connections between each stage.
Agree the machine test and inspection
Write down the planned material test, inspection points, records and any acceptance conditions. Check that the test configuration corresponds to the configuration being quoted.
Where results are material-dependent, keep that condition in the comparison. Request clarification of any headline number that lacks a defined sample or measurement method.
Clarify delivery responsibilities
Ask for the stated delivery term and named place, packing scope, transport responsibilities and documents. Request the machine dimensions and weights required for a project-specific freight discussion.
Ask your freight agent or customs broker to confirm import requirements, duties and destination costs for your shipment.
Record support and commercial terms
Compare production lead time, payment stages, installation support, warranty coverage and spare-parts arrangements.
List any unanswered questions beside each quote and resolve them before placing your order.
