Plan your recycling site before ordering
Plan the power supply, working space, access and material storage your equipment needs.
Draw the material journey
Sketch where incoming material arrives, where it waits, how it is prepared and how it reaches the machine. Add the destination of every output and the access needed for collection. A simple annotated sketch is useful even before a formal layout exists.
Mark fixed obstacles, doors, working height restrictions and shared areas. Distinguish available floor area from space that must remain open for access or handling.
Confirm the actual electrical supply
Record site voltage, phase, frequency and any available information about supply capacity. Include unusual control or connection requirements early. Do not substitute a national assumption for a confirmed site specification.
A qualified local professional should review the final electrical requirements and installation arrangements. The supplier proposal should clearly identify the equipment interface and the scope of the supplied electrical system.
Allow room for operation and maintenance
Ask for a layout that shows service access as well as the machine outline. Discuss tooling changes, lifting access, maintenance routes and the handling of parts that may need replacement.
Use the layout review to clarify what the buyer must provide: floor preparation, lifting equipment, electrical works, material bins or other project-specific items. Confirm these responsibilities before dispatch.
Plan each material fraction
List incoming material, prepared feed, valuable outputs, residual material and any collected fines. Give each stream an intended handling route and storage area.
Review relevant environmental and workplace obligations with qualified local advisers. A machine quotation is not a substitute for a site-specific operating or permitting assessment.
Plan installation and start-up
Agree which documents, videos, remote guidance or other support are included. Record the prerequisites for installation and the information needed if troubleshooting becomes necessary.
Keep the final layout, electrical details, equipment list and test record together for installation and start-up.
