How to choose a copper wire granulator

A machine shortlist is easier to evaluate when your incoming material is described consistently. Group regular thick cable, fine wire, automotive harnesses and material with plugs or armor separately. Photograph a normal batch and the material that creates the most preparation work. Avoid selecting only the cleanest example.

Your first brief should state the approximate share of each cable group, usual batch size and whether supply changes from week to week. Unknowns are worth recording; they are not a reason to substitute a guessed specification.

Start with your daily cable volume and the hours available for processing. Allow time for sorting, preparation, cleaning and collection when working out the capacity you need.

Ask which cable was used to measure capacity, how it was prepared and how long the machine ran. Compare test results using similar cable and operating conditions.

A clean copper sample alone is an incomplete demonstration. Ask to see the insulation fraction, fine material and any magnetic fraction too. Decide in advance how a representative sample will be collected and what condition you expect from each stream.

A useful test record links the input material, machine configuration, operating conditions and all collected output. Where numerical performance matters, agree the measurement method rather than relying on a promotional caption.

Place each proposal into the same scope table: main machine, feeding, preparation, separation stages, dust management, collection, electrical supply, installation requirements and recommended spares. Mark items as included, optional or excluded.

Ask what would change if the feed mix changed. The better starting choice is not automatically the configuration with the most equipment; it is the one whose scope and limits are clear for the material you expect to receive.
